Reloaded but still as dangerous as ever – the true primus motores of British punk, Sex Pistols Featuring Frank Carter (UK), are coming to Ilosaarirock this July!
Formed in 1975, Sex Pistols is, without exaggeration, one of the most influential bands in the history of music. Their anarchic saga has been written in many wild chapters, and the newest one is being carved out right now – nearly 50 years after the release of their first and only studio album, Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols.
This current lineup – renewed but far from reinvented – brings together original members Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock, with none other than Frank Carter on vocals, already familiar to Ilosaarirock crowds. And make no mistake: this isn’t some half-hearted nostalgia act. This is a full-blooded, snarling, chaotic punk band ready to tear through the stage with ferocity, sweat and screeching guitars.
