Drawing from Celtic folk, cinematic pop and something altogether otherworldly, Auri makes music that resists explanation. The group – Johanna Kurkela, Tuomas Holopainen and Troy Donockley at its core – doesn’t just create songs; they weave soundscapes meant to be felt rather than merely heard. Their work is a kind of quiet magic, dreamlike and luminous, and impossible to pin down with ordinary words.

Auri was born from a shared desire to build a creative space free from expectations. Whether by chance or by design, the band ended up shaping something so rare and so needed that its demand has only grown: a sold-out debut tour in Finland, an over 20-date run across Europe, and streaming numbers in the millions all speak for themselves.

In summer 2026, Auri finally steps onto Finnish festival stages – and we’re lucky enough to have one of them at Ilosaarirock. Expect a truly enchanting debut that will carry the audience gently into another reality.
