Saturday’s last act at Rentolava- stage was Jamaican reggae artist Queen Ifrica. The venue was packed full as the frisky artist started singing in her relaxed and smooth style. Singing about social defects Queen Ifrica comes with a message. She puts it out in her own special way spreading the relaxed atmosphere thourgh out the Rentolava area. On a saturday at Rentolava good vibes were blooming in the air.

When it comes to metal, you can’t always take it for granted the vocalist is actually able to perform the songs live. Ghost Brigade lived up to this expectation however. The vocalist Manne Ikonen balanced in the middle of occasional serene parts, which spotted a full storm in a very professional manner. The massive wall of sound built by the instruments served to accentuate the growling and clean vocals. Brigade has not been praised for nothing. (lisää…)

Can it get anymore classy than this? UNKLE came and conquered the YleX- stage on a beautiful saturday evening. This Brittish act takes pieces from all music genres one can think of and mixes them into one classy performance. UNKLE is not a show it’s an experience which left no one dry as saturday’s last act on YleX- stage.
No speed limit for The Micragirls

If a band is named after a car which is sparkling and sympathic, one can’t help thinking if the same applies to the band. The Micragirls from the neighbouring town of Kuopio brought their Nissan as saturday’s third act to the Rentolava- stage and set up a proper garage rock party. (lisää…)
