Trios have some kind of primitive charm of their own. The three basic instruments of rock band draw the big lines and the three gentlemen fill the Main Stage with their presence. This brand of rock is best savoured in the dark of a rock club or in the festival evenings, but this trio keeps the package together even in the sunny mid-afternoon. The sunshine even seems to emphasise the authenticity and energy of Lapko. These guys don’t leave you hanging or underestimate you.
Ville Malja’s query if there are any mothers in the audience is met with a plenitude of masculine voices yelling yes. Malja replies that the band members’ mothers enjoy it when they play to them; Hugging the Phone is dedicated to all mothers and those wishing to be mothers. And why not to dads as well!
