Can it get anymore classy than this? UNKLE came and conquered the YleX- stage on a beautiful saturday evening. This Brittish act takes pieces from all music genres one can think of and mixes them into one classy performance. UNKLE is not a show it’s an experience which left no one dry as saturday’s last act on YleX- stage.
Those who came to see UNKLE most likely knew what they came for. Undoubtedly on this satruday evening everybody in the YleX tent got much more they had bargained for. The UNKLE experience, as one might call it, was candy to the eyes and ears. Big screens with hypnotic images and UNKLE’s dark and mystical sound set unforgetable memories to peoples subconcious. Dark YleX tent was just the place for UNKLE. Time to time the scene reminded of a transic tecnocave rather than a rockfestival in eastern Finland. Calm Heaven in between this energetic experience was just what the vibe needed. UNKLE had the YleX audience in the palm of their hands and they caressed them in a god like manner.
When the show was over and the ocean of people started moving towards the main stage the general message was clear. Most of the crowd in the YleX tent had just seen the best gig of their lives and would’ve wanted to hear much more from UNKLE. Hopefully their requests will be answered in the years to come as it seemed one can never get enough of UNKLE.
