Saturday’s last act at Rentolava- stage was Jamaican reggae artist Queen Ifrica. The venue was packed full as the frisky artist started singing in her relaxed and smooth style. Singing about social defects Queen Ifrica comes with a message. She puts it out in her own special way spreading the relaxed atmosphere thourgh out the Rentolava area. On a saturday at Rentolava good vibes were blooming in the air.
Queen Ifrica’s first ever gig in Finland was the perfect way to end the day at Rentolava. The artist and the band enjoyed their stay at Ilosaarirock and at one point Ifrica shouted to the crowd: “I wanna sing all night!”. The crowd didn’t seem to have any objections with this. Somehow Queen Ifrica’s smooth sounds made it impossible to stand and eventually even the most quiet ones in the crowd were dancing to Ifrica’s relaxed beat. Ocean of jam and dance groups were visible in the crowd as the day started to end at Rentolava.
Applause didn’t seem to end after Queen Ifrica ended her show. Some went swimming while others kept on dancing. Everybody were happy and relaxed and definitely would’ve wanted to hear more from this Jamaican Queen.
