Ilosaarirock and YleX's partnership expands
YleX Stage, concert recordings on Yle Areena, meet & greets, and a whole lot more – the partnership between Ilosaarirock and YleX is growing and broadening even further!
Our festival site's revamped back area now features a stage dubbed the YleX Stage! This fresh outdoor venue replaces our former covered stage, known as the Star Stage ('Tähtiteltta'). With concerts across four stages, including the YleX Stage, Main Stage, Rento Stage, and Soundi Stage, the music scene at Ilosaarirock remains vibrant as ever.
"Having this fresh area and new outdoor stage is already thrilling, but teaming up with a partner like YleX to do it makes the whole thing even sweeter, downright sugary. The roots of Ilosaarirock and YleX's collaboration trace back to the days of Radiomafia, and back in the 2010s, we actually did have an YleX Stage at Ilosaarirock. It feels absolutely fantastic to have the stage back, but it's not just a return, it's so much more," exclaims our Sales and Marketing Manager, Lauri.
In addition to having their own stage, YleX's collaboration with us extends beyond Laulurinne this year – quite literally. Yle will bring Ilosaarirock, summer's best weekend, right into people's living rooms with live streams and recorded performances from Ilosaarirock. All YleX Presents: Ilosaarirock streams and recordings will be available on Yle Areena. Mom, we're gonna be on TV!
"It's fantastic that Ilosaarirock will be visible, audible, and tangible in people's homes this year. If you can't make it to Laulurinne yourself, you can catch the concerts live or later via Areena when the post-festival blues kick in. We already know that our year-end wrap-ups, aka Yle Wraps, will be packed with these Ilosaarirock performances, because we've got some seriously awesome concert recordings in store," teases our promoter, Panu.
In addition to the YleX Stage, concerts will also be streamed and recorded from the Ilosaarirock Main Stage. The lineup of recorded concerts and broadcasts will be revealed later on our channels. By the way, all the recordings from Ilosaarirock will be hosted by the familiar trio from YleX Aamu: PPP, aka Jenni Poikelus, Jere Pehkonen, and Mika Parikka, who you'll also be able to catch sight of at Ilosaarirock this summer. Who knows, you might even get to meet them!
And yes, the beloved YleX Meet & Greet is part of this summer's Ilosaarirock lineup too! Stay tuned for artist announcements and schedules closer to summer, once the festival fever starts to kick in.
