Official Ilosaarirock tickets are sold exclusively by Ticketmaster. You can buy tickets through Ticketmaster’s website, mobile app or physical Ticketmaster outlets.
You can pay for your Ilosaarirock tickets on Ticketmaster's website using the following payment methods:
- Most major debit and credit cards
- Online banking
- Mobile payment methods such as Apple Pay and MobilePay (Vipps)
- Klarna's flexible payment options
- Ticketmaster gift cards
- Employee culture benefits: Epassi, Edenred and Zevoy Benefits
You can also buy tickets and pay by invoice through Ticketmaster's phone service.
Payment methods at physical ticket outlets vary, as each outlet decides which payment methods it accepts.
In Joensuu, you can buy Ilosaarirock tickets at the Ticketmaster outlet located inside in Restaurant Kerubi, The outlet also sells tickets for Ilovaari Festival.
Kerubi accepts most major debit and credit cards, as well as Epassi culture benefits. Any applicable Ticketmaster order fees will be added to the ticket price. When paying with culture benefits, an additional payment fee of 10€ applies, or 15€ for three-day VIP tickets.
Tickets are also available at Restaurant Aiho in Lehmo, near Joensuu. Aiho accepts most major debit and credit cards, cash, and culture benefits (Epassi, Smartum and Edenred). The same Ticketmaster order fees may apply, and an additional payment fee of 10 € applies when paying with culture benefits.
We recommend creating a Ticketmaster account before visiting Kerubi or any other physical ticket outlet. It'll make buying your tickets quicker and easier!
Ilosaarirock offers three-day, two-day and one-day tickets. Different ticket types will go on sale in stages.

Ilosaarirock offers three-day and one-day youth tickets for ages 13–17, as well as one-day children's tickets for ages 8–12. Children under 8 can enjoy Ilosaarirock free of charge when accompanied by a parent or guardian on one day of their choice.
Children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to enter the festival. The accompanying adult must have their own purchased ticket for the same festival day. Free tickets for children under 8 can be collected at the information point by the main entrance upon arrival.
The age of everyone attending with a youth or children's ticket will be checked at wristband exchange. The age of children under 8 will also be checked when collecting their free tickets.
If you're coming to Ilosaarirock with children or young people, please keep their needs in mind and make sure they have a safe and, above all, substance-free festival experience.
For the smoothest festival experience with a little extra something, Ilosaarirock VIP is the way to go! As our VIP guest, you'll enjoy the festival atmosphere from some of the best spots in the festival area.
Ilosaarirock offers three-day and one-day VIP tickets. In addition to regular festival admission and access to Ilosaarirock's diverse line-up and services, your VIP ticket includes:
- Access to two separate VIP areas: Original Long Drink VIP by the Main Stage and Star VIP by the YleX Stage
- A dedicated VIP front-row area at the YleX Stage, accessible from Star VIP
- Access to exclusive bars and lounge areas in both VIP areas
- Flush toilets for extra comfort and convenience
- Dedicated VIP entry lanes at the festival gates and security checks
- Free VIP cloakroom service
- VIP wristband and pass
Food and drinks are not included in the VIP ticket price and must be purchased separately.
All VIP tickets are strictly for ages 18 and over, as the VIP facilities are located in age-restricted bar areas.
Ilosaarirock's VIP areas are located next to the festival's two largest stages. Both areas offer comfortable VIP facilities with high-quality services, plenty of seating and private flushing toilets.
Original Long Drink VIP
Enjoy a carefree festival day from some of the best spots at Ilosaarirock in Original Long Drink VIP! Located next to the Main Stage, the two-storey VIP building and its spacious terrace let you enjoy live performances in comfort while staying right in the heart of the action.
The VIP bar offers the widest selection of drinks at the festival. With only a limited number of VIP tickets available, the area never gets too crowded. That means less time queuing and more time enjoying the festival!
We've also taken care of the little things that make your VIP experience even more comfortable. Alongside flush toilets, the restroom area features a touch-up station where you can freshen up your festival hair and outfit.
The second floor of the VIP building is home to the Business Lounge, with a limited number of tickets available. The lounge offers a more relaxed setting for meetings, conversations and networking with partners, clients and other business contacts.
The second floor also features Ilosaarirock's private VIP boxes, reserved for the festival's corporate guests.
Star VIP
Delicious food and a front-row spot without the queue? You can have both at Star VIP! Located right next to the YleX Stage, this VIP area lets you enjoy live performances without a worry in the world, with a dedicated section of the front row reserved exclusively for VIP guests.
Star VIP's spacious, green terrace is the perfect place to soak up the festival atmosphere, whether you're partying or catching up with friends. And if the weather takes a turn, the covered VIP tent offers a comfortable place to stay sheltered without missing out on the fun. Dedicated flush toilets add an extra touch of convenience.

You can upgrade your Ilosaarirock ticket to include more festival days or VIP access by paying the price difference between the tickets, plus any applicable Ticketmaster change fees.
To upgrade your ticket, contact Ticketmaster's customer service. Log in to your Ticketmaster account, find the order you want to upgrade under My Tickets and select Contact Us.
Ilosaarirock tickets cannot be downgraded or exchanged for tickets covering fewer festival days. For example, you cannot exchange a three-day ticket for a one-day VIP ticket.
We recommend using only Ticketmaster's official resale platform, Ticketmaster Resale, when buying or reselling Ilosaarirock tickets. Please note that we cannot guarantee the authenticity of tickets purchased from third parties, and we are not responsible for any losses or damages resulting from scams or attempted fraud.
Festival-goers who need assistance or use mobility aids or other assistive devices can bring a personal assistant or interpreter to Ilosaarirock free of charge. You can enter the festival with a regular ticket when using an assistive device, and there's no need to purchase a separate ticket or reserve a wristband in advance for your assistant or interpreter.
Your assistant or interpreter can collect their wristband at the festival information point upon arrival, where the need for assistance will also be verified. Both you and your assistant can exchange your tickets for wristbands at the information point. Wristbands are attached directly to your wrists, so you cannot collect one on someone else's behalf.
No separate proof of disability is required. However, if your disability is not visible, an EU Disability Card with an A marking or a medical certificate may help make the process smoother at the information point.
We reserve the right to make changes to Ilosaarirock’s lineup, schedules, and other arrangements. Any changes will be announced immediately. In line with standard live music industry practices, festival tickets cannot be refunded due to the cancellation of individual artists, and no compensation will be provided for such changes.
Ilosaarirock tickets may not be used as prizes in competitions or giveaways without the festival organiser's express written permission.
By purchasing a ticket and attending Ilosaarirock, you agree to the festival’s terms and conditions. These include, among others, the ticket terms, the festival’s photography policy, and various safety practices such as our Rokkietiketti, which outlines our safer space principles.
