Ilosaarirock is an all-ages festival. However, we recommend that underage visitors attend the festival with a guardian. Children under 13 can enter Ilosaarirock only when accompanied by a guardian who has their own ticket.
Ilosaarirock offers separate youth and children's tickets. Youth tickets are for festival-goers aged 13–17, and children’s tickets are for kids aged 8–12 who attend the festival together with their guardian. The age of those with a youth or a children’s ticket will be checked when exchanging the ticket for a wristband.
Children under 8 years old can visit Ilosaarirock for free on one day of their choice when accompanied by a guardian. The guardian must have their own ticket valid for the same festival day.
Some Ilosaarirock services, such as all bar areas and the two separate VIP areas, are age-restricted. The age limit for these areas is 18.
Ilosaarirock ticket prices will change to gate prices on Friday, July 17 at 2:00 PM.

Ticketmaster order fees and any applicable payment processing fees will be added to the price of all Ilosaarirock tickets.
Ilosaarirock offers separate three-day and one-day youth as well as one-day children's tickets.
Youth tickets are for festival-goers aged 13–17. We recommend that minors attend the festival with a guardian. The age of those with a youth ticket will be checked when exchanging the ticket for a wristband. For example, anyone with a three-day youth ticket must be 13–17 years old when the festival begins on Friday 17 July 2026.
Children’s tickets are for kids aged 8–12 who attend the festival together with their guardian. A child ticket does not grant access to the festival area without a guardian. The guardian must have their own ticket valid for the same festival day. The age of those with a children’s ticket will be checked when exchanging the ticket for a wristband.

If you are coming to Ilosaarirock with children, please enjoy the festival on their terms and provide them with a safe and, above all, substance-free festival experience.
Official Ilosaarirock tickets are sold exclusively by Ticketmaster. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster’s online store, mobile app or at physical Ticketmaster outlets.
There are several ways to pay for your Ilosaarirock ticket. In the Ticketmaster online store, you can pay with the most common debit and credit cards, mobile payment methods such as Apple Pay and MobilePay, Klarna's flexible payment options, and Ticketmaster gift cards. Cultural benefit payments (Epassi, Edenred and Zevoy Benefits) are accepted in the Ticketmaster online store only until July 13. Invoices are only available as a payment method when purchasing tickets through Ticketmaster's phone service.
Payment methods at physical ticket outlets vary by location. Each outlet decides which payment methods it accepts.
In the Joensuu region, Ilosaarirock tickets are available at the Ticketmaster outlet located in Restaurant Kerubi, where you can also purchase tickets for Ilovaari Festival.
At Kerubi, the accepted payment methods are the most common debit and credit cards, as well as Epassi among the cultural benefit providers. Ticketmaster order fees will be added to ticket prices. When paying with a cultural benefit, a payment processing fee is also added: 10€ at Kerubi and 15€ for three-day VIP tickets.
If you're visiting Kerubi or another physical ticket outlet, we recommend creating a Ticketmaster account before you arrive – it'll make your purchase quicker and smoother!

Ilosaarirock offers three-day VIP tickets as well as one-day VIP tickets. All ticket types are now available for purchase. All Ilosaarirock VIP tickets are strictly 18+, as the VIP areas are located within age-restricted bar zones.
Your VIP ticket includes regular festival admission, access to Ilosaarirock’s comfortable VIP areas, and a range of exclusive services designed to make your festival experience smooth and enjoyable. Please note that food and drinks are not included in the ticket price.
Ilosaarirock VIP includes two separate VIP areas, both located near the festival’s main stages. Each area offers stylishly designed lounges, top-quality services and convenient water-flush toilets.
Original Long Drink VIP
Original Long Drink VIP is a two-story building rising next to the Main Stage, surrounded by a cozy courtyard with the best views of both the stage and the crowd. The ground floor features a well-stocked bar, and the yard offers plenty of comfortable seating for enjoying the performances or simply soaking up those perfect summer days. The area also has its own indoor toilet facilities to keep your festival flow uninterrupted.
Star VIP
Star VIP, located beside the YleX Stage, is a relaxed spot to unwind, enjoy gigs, sip drinks and socialise. It connects directly to the exclusive VIP front row: a viewing area reserved just for VIP guests right in front of the YleX Stage. The terrace and grassy seating areas provide space for both celebrating and taking it easy.
All VIP customers must exchange their tickets for a personal VIP wristband before entering the festival area. The wristband is attached directly to your wrist at the exchange point, meaning it can’t be collected on behalf of someone else.
With your VIP wristband, you can enter the festival quickly through dedicated VIP lanes at the main gate and security check. Larger belongings can be left at the cloakroom’s VIP counter near the main entrance.
Ilosaarirock does not offer a separate companion or personal assistant's ticket, but all festival visitors who need an assistant or use mobility aids may bring an assistant or an interpreter to the festival free of charge. You don’t need to book the free companion or interpreter ticket in advance, it can simply be picked up at the festival info point upon arrival.
All Ilosaarirock tickets are exchanged for wristbands before entering the festival area. The guest and their companion can exchange their tickets for wristbands at the festival info point. Wristbands are always attached directly to the customer’s wrist, so they cannot be collected on someone else’s behalf.
We don’t require a separate certificate of disability. However, an EU Disability Card or a doctor’s note can make things easier at the info point if the disability is not visible.
If you've already purchased a ticket to Ilosaarirock, you can upgrade it to cover more festival days or upgrade your standard ticket to a VIP ticket by paying the price difference, plus any applicable change fees charged by Ticketmaster. Ticket upgrades are available through Ticketmaster Customer Service until wristband exchange begins, or at Ilosaarirock's own ticket kiosk in the Iso Myy shopping centre in Joensuu between July 1 and 14.
From Wednesday, July 15 onwards, ticket upgrades are only available at Ilosaarirock's own sales points: at Rokkikontti (Koskikatu 8) from Wed–Fri, July 15–17, and from Fri, July 17 onwards at the festival Info Point next to the main entrance. Please note that you must bring your original ticket when upgrading it at an Ilosaarirock sales point. Only unused tickets can be upgraded. If you've already exchanged your ticket for a festival wristband, it can no longer be upgraded.
Ilosaarirock tickets cannot be downgraded or exchanged for tickets valid for fewer festival days. For example, a standard three-day ticket cannot be exchanged for a one-day VIP ticket.
By purchasing a ticket and attending Ilosaarirock, you agree to the festival’s terms and conditions. These include, among others, the ticket terms, the festival’s photography policy, and various safety practices such as our Rokkietiketti, which outlines our safer space principles.

We reserve the right to make changes to Ilosaarirock’s lineup, schedules, and other arrangements. Any changes will be announced immediately. In line with standard live music industry practices, festival tickets cannot be refunded due to the cancellation of individual artists, and no compensation will be provided for such changes.
Please note that Ilosaarirock's festival tickets cannot be used as prizes in competitions or giveaways without the explicit written permission of the festival organiser.
