2000 euros to local charities

The organizer of Ilosaarirock, Joensuu Pop Musician's Association, and Joensuun Töminä Oy, the operator and owner of Joensuu's beloved restaurant Kerubi, have collectively donated 2000 euros to charity.

Joensuu Pop Musician's Association's 1000 euro donation has been directed towards the North Karelia Crisis Center ('Pohjois-Karjalan kriisikeskus'), and their continuous effort to support young people and students in North Karelia facing financial or social difficulties. The donation will be used in 2024 for mental health education aimed at North Karelian youth and young adults, with the goal of promoting mental well-being, everyday resilience, and reducing barriers to seeking help.

Joensuun Töminä Oy's 1000 euro donation, on the other hand, is targeted to the local division Hope – Yhdessä & Yhteisesti ry in Joensuu. Kerubi and Töminä wish to support local families and children in need, contributing to a more equal everyday life for everyone.
