Na-na-naa-na-na-na-naa-na – the iconic pop duo Nylon Beat takes the Ilosaarirock stage for the first time in nearly 30 years!

We had house parties, we had boomboxes, we had crop tops and Nylon Beat. Formed by Jonna Geagea and Erin Anttila, the duo were true pop pioneers of their time, and their impact still runs deep in Finnish pop culture today. It’s hard to describe just how big their hits were without slipping into hyperbole, but believe – or, if you’re a millennial, remember – this: their catalog became the soundtrack to an entire generation.

This fall, Nylon Beat celebrates the 30th anniversary of their debut album with four consecutive and now sold-out shows at Helsinki Ice Hall. Before that, they’ll be warming things up at Ilosaarirock, where they were last seen in 1999. About time for a return!
