For centuries, astronomers around the world have gazed up at the night sky, hoping to catch a glimpse of some rare cosmic phenomenon. Little did they know that they should have been looking towards Kontiolahti, where something even more dazzling than a supernova was coming to life: a new-generation musical alchemist by the name of louna0nline.

There’s something about the music of louna0nline, aka Louna Kukkonen, who made her debut in 2024, that simply cannot be replicated. You might recognise the intricate influences of modern rap or the chrome-plated aesthetics of hyperpop, but that still won’t get you anywhere near cracking the formula. Her futuristic soundscapes seem to spring from a kind of instinctive ingenuity that can’t be taught, let alone copied.

Having recently made Finnish chart history and released her highly anticipated debut album starseed in October, louna0nline is bringing her own universe to Ilosaarirock next summer. And this time, you won’t have to look to the stars to witness something extraordinary. All you need to do is find your way to the front row!
