Guitar-driven Finnish rock is in good hands with artists like Jaakko Kulta. His songs combine sharp, observant storytelling with melodies that stick without trying too hard, placing him in the same lineage as names like Ismo Alanko, Juice Leskinen and Maija Vilkkumaa – while still sounding entirely like himself. There’s a familiar kind of spark in there, but nothing about it feels recycled.
