Nylon and mayhem – a fresh batch of artists revealed

The lineup summer's best weekend just keeps on growing – with 18 fresh new names just added!

The lineup for Ilosaarirock, now set to take place for the 54th time, is expanding with a big wave of new names. Heading to Laulurinne this summer are, among others, the iconic pioneers of Finnish pop Nylon Beat, the undeniably darkest and most mythical force in black metal Mayhem (NO), Finland’s red-hot Eurovision duo Linda Lampenius x Pete Parkkonen, and one of the most explosive Finnish music phenomena of recent decades, Käärijä.

Also joining the lineup are the magnetic electropop star BESS, Finnish rock legend Ismo Alanko returning to his hometown crowd, the high-energy rap trio Mouhous, the renewed Ricky-Tick Big Band & Julkinen Sana, the rock duo Ursus Factory – often hailed as Finland’s fiercest live band – as well as one of the country’s most versatile musicians Aili Järvelä, R&B’s next Finnish frontrunner Bizi, recently crowned Rock Act of the Year Jaakko Kulta, the delightfully jazz-tinged pop group Josén Pimeä Puoli, guitar virtuoso Timo Kämäräinen, the joyous ethno-techno collective Suistamon Sähkö, and three Finnish rap acts moving across different frequencies: D1 DANI, KERZA and koira.
