More artists announced!

Ilosaarirock's lineup just keeps on growing, with five new additions spanning both international and Finnish talent!

Among the latest names joining Ilosaarirock are one of today’s hottest international electronic music acts Sub Focus (UK), Finnish rap heavyweight Gettomasa, who returns to the spotlight after a couple of years away, British duo ALT BLK ERA (UK) with their playful blend of electronic music and alternative rock, new-wave rapper MELO, and fast-rising pop newcomer Minttu, who has burst onto the Finnish pop scene at remarkable speed.

British DJ and producer Sub Focus, aka Nick Douwma, has steadily risen from one of jungle and drum’n’bass’s most respected underground cult figures to a true front-row star of the global dance music scene. Over the years, he has successfully brought his finely honed d’n’b sound into the mainstream without sacrificing the speed, energy or authenticity of the genre’s roots. Live, Sub Focus is all about momentum, movement and instant euphoria – drawing in both dedicated genre fans and curious passers-by who’ve simply heard the party is unmissable.

ALT BLK ERA, who have received widespread acclaim in their home country from media, critics and music fans alike, are a genre-defying rock duo formed by two sisters. Their alternative sound pulls influences from electronic dance music, rap and rhythm-driven alternative pop. The band’s debut album Rave Immortal, released in January 2025, topped the UK rock and metal album chart in its release week and earned them festival debuts at events such as Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds and Download. ALT BLK ERA’s Ilosaarirock show will mark the band’s first solo performance in Finland.

– People have been asking us for proper rave vibes for a while now, so let’s deliver – with Sub Focus hosting a full-on party at Laulurinne. You’ll also get moving at ALT BLK ERA’s first Finnish show, and I doubt the pogoing will stop during Gettomasa, MELO or Minttu either. We’ve already got quite the celebration on our hands, and there’s still a generous stack of artists left to announce, teases our promoter Panu.

Previously announced artists for Ilosaarirock include Architects (UK), Sex Pistols Featuring Frank Carter (UK), Arppa & Joensuun kaupunginorkesteri, emma & matilda, ibe, KUUMAA, Lauri Haav, Vesala, Aatulove, Auri, Beast In Black, Charon, Costi, ELLIMEI, Erika Vikman, HOKKA, Komiat, kukkatalo, louna0nline, Mirella, Olavi Uusivirta, Royal Sorrow, unpeople (UK) and Vilma Jää. The festival line-up will continue to be expanded throughout winter and spring.

Starting to sound like the best weekend of the summer already, innit!
