Behm added to the lineup
Beloved Finnish pop frontrunner Behm will perform just three shows this year – and one of them will be experienced at Laulurinne!
A rare treat is on the menu this July as the phenomenal Finnish pop powerhouse Behm takes the stage at Ilosaarirock. Next summer, she’ll play only three exclusive festival shows in total – and nowhere else for the rest of the year!
There’s no denying Rita Behm’s greatness. If you tried to describe her exceptional breakthrough and career to someone who’s been living under a rock, the story might easily sound like something straight out of a fairytale. Yet in Behm’s case, reality truly is stranger (and far stronger) than fiction – she is simply one of the most extraordinary voices and success stories in Finnish pop music.
A historically successful artist and recipient of no fewer than eight Emma Awards, Behm is currently hard at work on her eagerly awaited third album. When word reached us that the studio-immersed star might be tempted out for a handful of exclusive shows this summer, the Ilosaarirock festival office sprang into action without hesitation.
– Since 2019, Behm has consistently ranked among the most requested Finnish artists at Ilosaarirock. It’s always a joy to welcome such a talented artist to our stage, but especially when it’s a rarer show like this. These are absolute treats for festival audiences and for us organisers as well. Only a fool would miss Behm’s only show in Eastern Finland this year, says our promoter Panu.
– I wanted to take a year off and focus on making the album, but the opportunity to drop by a few of my favourite stages in the middle of it all was too tempting. I figured it would be nothing but a good idea to step out of the studio and shake off the dust for a moment, Behm shares.

The daily schedules for Behm and the rest of the Ilosaarirock lineup will be announced later. The lineup will continue to grow and will be completed during the winter and spring. The remaining Ilosaarirock ticket types will also go on sale over the winter, including the much-anticipated one-day and two-day tickets.
