The cleanest sound in all of Finland
Every now and then you come across an idea so simple, you can’t help feeling “now why didn’t I think of that first?” Take Cleaning Women for example: men in drag play dance music with home-made instruments.
Okay, I’ll admit the idea does sound a bit silly, but silly doesn’t always equal bad. Take my word for it - the trio really cleaned up the stage. You couldn’t buy that kind of groove at Tesco’s.
One might be tempted to write the band off as a one-trick pony whose sound would grow old pretty fast. Alas, that is not the case when they play live, even though the recorded versions are a different bowl of soup altogether.
