We don’t need another Nirvana
When the band is from Seattle, they are naturally compared to such legends as Nirvana and Pearl Jam. But when the lead singer looks like and sounds like Kurt Kobain it’s all a bit too much. Though The Mudhoney sounds good and most likely gives good vibes for the children of the 90’s another Nirvana sound-alike wasn’t a good call as the final band of the Ylex-stage.
Surely this isn’t the first time The Mudhoney has been compared to Nirvana. Maybe so the band gives a fresh and energetic performance. The Mudhoney played like they were playing for the first time in a big festival, making name for themselves. In the end there was nothing wrong with the band nor their performance. This kind of Nirvana sound-alike just wasn’t what the Ylex-stage would’ve neede for a proud closer of a such succesful festival.
