Crap sinks, Kumikameli floats
Kumikameli (’Rubber Camel’) might not seem like a useful item, but should you fall into water, it can turn into a lifesaver. As the Sunday evening draw to a close, the band saved Ilosaarirock from drowning.
As Negative was performing on the main stage, playing to an audience of mostly teenage girls, Kumikameli rocked the Truck Stage, creating a powerful balancing force. At first it seemed like not too many people would turn up to listen to the Kameli, but during Hakekaakas the place kept filling up. Other crowd pleasers were Kusiainen and Silmä kovana.
If your only complaint about a gig is that it ended way too soon, you know you’ve gotten a real treat.
