Is Jenni Vartiainen Ilosaarirock’s main act? Judging by the mass of crowd that seemed to extend right back to main gates of the area, the answer would be yes. The queen of the evening appeared from behind a screen of smoke, dressed in a flamenco-styled outfit, smiling widely.
After the dramatic start, Jenni moved to more down-to-earth feelings, entwining the audience even more closely to her power. She moved around graciously and the smile never left her face. The atmosphere was ethereal, to say the least.
The more eager male fans’ vulgarities Jenni just laughed off, and didn’t seem to be offended at all. All in all, the crowd moved from one feeling to other with ease, such was her hold over her audience. Long after the show, praises to queen Jenni could heard all over the area.
