Raffish Arsing About
DJPP & Co waked up the hungover festival folk on Sunday morning at Rentolava (The Chill Out Stage).
The bunch of rappers, gathered by a DJ from the Eastern Helsinki, appeared to be ready to explode, but did everything in such a hilarious manner that one could imagine it had been scripted beforehand - had there been any script that is.
The gig was opened by the Eevil Stöö - Asa duo who performed e.g. the hit Venäjälle linkkejä (Links to Russia). The proper arsing about began when Edu Kehäkettunen, Stig Dogg and Davo climbed on the stage. Edu calls himself the culmination of the indecent and songs like Anaalibileet (Anal Party) give a good idea about the subject of the jokes. The performance was coloured with ludicrous rhymes and did indeed raise disbelieving grins on the faces of the audience.
Even the surprising moments gave an opportunity for mischievous banter for people both on and off the stage, but the prevailing mood was more cheerful than nasty. Or perhaps both simultaneously.
