Timo Fixes Artists to the Main Stage
Timo Tuovinen is responsible for the backstage area of Ilosaarirock’s main stage.
He ushers the artists to the stage and the gentle care of the technicians. The holders of this position have been addressed with the terms “fixers” and “Connecting Idiots”.
Tuovinen has worked as a fixer at Ilosaarirock since the year 2000. Earlier he has also occupied the info desk, where he worked for the first time in 1992.
Ilosaarirock weekend is a busy one for a person in charge, and there is rarely enough time to see any gigs. However, on Saturday Tuovinen got to check out both The Darkness and Maija Vilkkumaa. Today, on Sunday, he would like to see The Damned. If Tuovinen got to choose the performers of Ilosaarirock, U2 would be on the top of his list. Timo is also a football fan, but cannot name any favourite teams. For the game played today between YleX and HC Ilotytöt at Ilosaarirock he predicts 4-4 result - though he got around to suspecting that the game was fixed, too. And in conclusion one thing has to be added: “DEAR greetings to Maija Vilkkumaa! Maija is the best!”.
