Tams makes music for anyone who’s ever felt a little heartbroken on the dance floor. Merging early-2000s emo with warm, vintage synths, his sound is equal parts melancholy and movement – the kind that makes you want to cry and dance at the same time. Some call it sad disco. We call it tamssing.

Originally from Kittilä and now based in Joensuu, Tams has steadily built a name for himself with synthpop that’s intimate, handmade and all heart. Last year, he was awarded Joensuun Popmuusikot ry’s Hyvä tyypit! prize – for being exactly that, a good one.
