The Red Serenade

The Red Serenade is not easily put into words. It’s a shared performance by three visually striking beings – creatures, characters and somethings in between – who entertain, unsettle, heal and excite, all at once. In this surreal and carnivalesque experience, Kilpikonnakuningatar, Näkki and Bouffon take to the stage – and into the crowd – drawing the audience into an unreal reality that somehow feels more vivid than life itself.

One thing we can say with absolute certainty: you will not be ready for The Red Serenade. Which is exactly why you should experience it.

Combining dance, performance art and bouffon clownery, The Red Serenade is brought to life by dance artists, performers and choreographers Lindon Shimizu (Kilpikonnakuningatar) and Veera Snellman (Näkki), alongside clown, performer and artisan Kaisa Mari Männikkö (Bouffon).
