The hottest country tunes, mind-bogglingly wild cult rock, and the most beloved and in-demand Finnish artists – the lineup announcements for next summer’s best weekend kick off with a bang!
The first lineup reveal for the 2025 edition of Ilosaarirock is packed to the brim with talent and diversity. Next July, the festival will welcome some of the biggest names in music, including the Grammy-nominated country music superstar Shaboozey (US), acclaimed singer-songwriter Alex Warren (US), the wonderfully perplexing cult rock band Battlesnake (AU), and some of Finland’s most requested acts like Apulanta, Gasellit, Haloo Helsinki!, Jenni Vartiainen, J. Karjalainen, and Sexmane.
Ilosaarirock will also feature the return of some major names, including the legendary hardcore punk band Endstand, pop pioneer ABREU (who’s taking a break in 2026), Finnish metal pride Swallow the Sun, the globally acclaimed funk-rock-afropsycehdelic genius Grande Mahogany, the talented Mariska finishing up her new album, punk’s fearless Nyrkkitappelu, exciting up-and-coming Finnish rap and hip-hop acts like AHTI, Averagekidluke, good boys, and Turisti, as well as a few of the most intriguing new artists in Finland, such as Aaro630, OLGA, and Sara Bee.
“We’ve made it a tradition to kick off our lineup reveals with a bang, and this time is no different,” says Panu, our festival promoter. “There’s something for everyone at our table – genre crossovers, country, metal, rock, pop, and the most thrilling rising stars of the new wave.
