Adult festivalgoers at Ilosaarirock are treated to a total of seven bars and two VIP areas, all offering a wide and refreshing variety of drinks.
Old favorites, from long drinks and malty brews to ciders and wines, are back in action this summer. The large Baaribaari by the Main Stage delights with its extensive selection and fan-favorite specials, like drinks served in buckets. The other bar near the Main Stage, Rinnebaari, offers all the colourful flavours of Hartwall Long Drinks.
At Rentobaari, you can sip on light cocktails alongside the standard menu, and beer lovers will appreciate both the drink list and the visual vibe of Rantabaari. Tähtibaari, located next to the YleX Stage, is getting a major makeover and expanding – both in size and in its selection, to be just as impressive as Baaribaari's.
Fans of refreshing ginger beers should head to Soundibaari in front of the Sound Stage. Next to the new Oho! Stage, a brand-new bar area will pop up, sure to become a favorite hangout spot for cocktail lovers and bubbly drink fans.
VIP customers have access to the VIP areas located next the Main Stage and the YleX Stage. Both serve exclusive drinks in addition to the regular menu.
All Ilosaarirock bars also offer non-alcoholic drinks. The selection includes sodas, flavored waters, energy drinks and alcohol-free brewery products.
Remember the deposit
A deposit is added to the price of all alcoholic drinks sold at Ilosaarirock. A 1€ deposit applies to cans, bottles, cups and glasses. Wine and champagne coolers as well as drink buckets include a 5€ deposit. Shot glasses and containers for non-alcoholic drinks, like soda and sparkling water cans and bottles, do not have a deposit.
Deposits can be returned at bar counters with your next purchase or at designated deposit return points. A single payment card can be refunded for a maximum of 100€ in deposits per festival day. Refunds will appear on your card within 1–3 banking days.
This year, in addition to money, you can also exchange your deposit for a bag of Taffel chips at specially marked Taffel return points in the largest bar areas. Keep that salt balance in check!
If you're dreaming of the best mocktail of the summer, head to the Chill out by LähiTapiola area by the beach. There you’ll find the Mocktail Place, a spot entirely focused on serving alcohol-free drinks. These refreshing blends are available throughout the festival weekend!
Flavor highlights include juicy Finnish berries, refreshing tropical fruits and sparklingly exotic Japanese citrus.
In addition to the Mocktail Place, the Rento Stage area is also home to the Hartwall Vichy Station, serving Finland’s strongest water. The selection includes the extra-sparkly Hartwall Vichy Original and a double-salty twist on the classic Vichy.
Finland’s strongest water has also launched a sleek Vichy clothing line – you can browse and buy these goodies at the Vichy Station.
Frequently named Finland’s best roastery, Lehmus Roastery rolls in from Lappeenranta to Laulurinne, bringing the tastiest coffee in the country!
From their stall in the Food Court near the YleX Stage, you can grab all sorts of coffee and espresso-based drinks – hot or iced lattes, cappuccinos, americanos or just a classic brewed coffee. Lehmus’ mouth-watering banana bread and sandwiches are the perfect pairing for your cup.
Lehmus Roastery also sells Ilokahvi, a special blend created in collaboration with Ilosaarirock – pick up a bag to take home!
In addition to the bars, you can buy soft drinks and flavored waters at restaurants and food stalls across the festival area. For your coffee or tea fix, check out the Food Court next to the YleX Stage, where Lehmus Roastery serves both hot and cold coffee drinks. R-kioski is your go-to for the quickest and easiest snacks and drinks of the weekend. Hot coffee is also available at many other cafés and kiosks throughout the festival site.
Tap water in North Karelia is known for its excellent quality – and yes, you can get it straight from the tap at Ilosaarirock! You’ll find several water stations around the festival grounds where you can refill your own bottle. You may bring an unopened or empty clear plastic bottle (max 1.5 L) with you into the festival area.
