Lost Society‘s explosive gig as the Rekka stage’s final performer on saturday got more and more people to the site as the gig went on. Most of them looked stunned, wondering what the f**k is happening here. Lost Society was what happened and they left no one in doubt why they are the biggest name in Finnish trash metal at the moment.
Most of the crowd at the Rekka stage were 30+ people wearing their denim vest with a badge of the old Finnsh trash metal band Stone, which was popular in the 80′s. This tells how long a lot of people in Finland have waited something like Lost Society to happen. Luckly there were some new faces in the mosh pit as a proof of the rise of the new trash generation in Finland. Lost Society’s blast from the past didn’t leave anyone stading still and people in several genrations were throwing their fists in the air as the band’s intensive sound spread in the air.
Lost Society’s performance was full of youthful energy and everyone could see that the guys really love what they are doing. They sounded ready for conquering the world which is evidence of hard hours in the training camp. The drum base blasted strong tempo in the air, guitars slinged high pitches and the guys moshed their heads like no other. It is obvious that they’re doing this with a big heart. Couple of the new songs heard on satruday at the Rekka stage sounded still a bit rough but at the same time let’s one expect a lot from the band’s future. A perfect way to end the sweaty saturday at Ilosaarirock.
