American wonder Dj Shadow did what the Ilosaarirock brieflet promised. This DJ wizard turned the YleX- tent into a one big dancesite as the venue’s last act. Not often the security needs to close the YleX- tent but in this sunday evening just too many people tried to squeez in to see the Dj. Therefore the party continued outside the tent and one can only wonder how many people where present to witness the Dj Shadow experience.
Dj Shadow’s primitive beat gets easily to ones flesh. Videos from the big screens works in harmony with the music and together they produce a perfect symphony. The humble Dj thanked the crowd in a humbel manner and got a huge round of applause in return. There might have not been too much space anywhere around the YleX- tent but the love for music is universal and it was enough to make magic happen. There could have not been a better way to end festival at the YleX venue. We thank you Dj Shadow.
