VALSE TRISTE

Even if quick-tempered hardcore shows no signs of going gently into that goodnight, a bunch of old hands can still do it better than a parent's garage full of new hopefuls. Valse Triste's latest LP Madon luku is a text book example of how to make such music – and that text book, mind you, is torn, shabby, seedy and contains more than its fair share of typos.

Valse Triste has been through hell and high tide and would probably be entitled to performing allowance for the disabled, but obviously doesn't need to apply for one, judging by how mercilessly they trash the new beginners with their raw but fun HC mayhem. And as if this would not be enough, Valse Triste is also renowned for their exhilarating in-between-song stand up comedy numbers.
