TUNDRAMATIKS

Three young men, looking like down-and-out bums, thrumming and tinkling on their instruments like a Salvation Army orchestra forgotten in the bottom on a slushy ditch. They lament the misery of a hangover or recollect fatty femme fatales and other awful things that make life as wonderful as it is. This is Tundramatiks: a combination of Slavic slackery and eager troubadourism, without, of course, forgetting an occasional sip from the hip pocket flask. Here's a band you just cannot do without, particularly in these times of paper-thin music.
