THE RUBY FOOS
The Ruby Foos, that lucky, lucky bunch. They have both the home advantage at Ilosaarirock – all the four members come from Joensuu – and the honour to open this year's Sulo Club. The four-strong group plays energetic, catchy and delightfully original emo punk, led by their charismatic singer/guitarist Arttu Hirvonen. Spring yielded a tragedy, summer created a monster, The Ruby Foos sings, but certainly these lucky dogs cannot know anything of such nasty matters.
