RATFACE
Among this year's Ilosaarirock performers, this band is admittedly somewhat on the younger side. But even if they have played together only since the year 2006, the members have already been tried and tested in such groups as St.Hood, Rejected and Bleeding Heart. In comparison with those three, Ratface prefers some more crossover touch to its music, and mixes its hardcore with more rhythmic riffs and some metal elements. Not only the cryptic alias, but also the vocal style of MC Respektor even brings hip hop to mind.
So far, Ratface has got one release under their belts, the seven-track EP Demon Dayz. On the gig front, they have been tremendously active. Never mind the heavily piercing music and somewhat grim outward appearance: according to eyewitnesses, Ratface takes itself far from seriously onstage.
