HUSKY RESCUE
Husky Rescue's success story began in earnest with their 2004 debut, Country Falls. Originally the band was just a project-like affair by their songwriter Marko Nyberg, but since the first album they have grown to be a real band with real members. The vocal parts, which at the time of their first record were shared between four different singers – Emma Salokoski, Reeta-Leena Korhola, Sam Shingler and Miikka Lommi – now in the band's fixed incarnation belong to Ms. Korhola alone. Her voice is like soft honey, fitting Husky Rescue's dreamlike, melancholic pop just perfectly. Their second album Ghost Is Not Real was released in the early weeks of this year and sounds so impressive that the band's great international break-through must now be only a matter of days, if not minutes.
