FAT BEAT SOUND SYSTEM
Fat Beat Sound System was originally founded already in the early 1990s. Since that day, the band's – or should we say collective's – line-up has changed quite a bit, but the original reasons for playing together are still intact. The essence of Fat Beat Sound System is still improvisation. Besides the regular members Jarmo Saari, DJ Bunuel, Abdissa Assefa, Hepa Halme and Jukkis Kiviniemi, the live performances often feature a bunch of other artists too. This tried and tested pattern is also exploited on FBSS's new album Feed the Vocalists, containing vocal numbers by the rap artist Paleface and Tommy Lindgren, the voice of Don Johnson Big Band, among many others.
