KUMIKAMELI

Ilosaarirock is 35 years old now and thus still senior to all the bands it's hosting this year. One of the most time-honoured performers this time is Kumikameli, celebrating its 20th birthday. Those years have been packed with changes in the line-up, bitter fights, and beautiful restorations of peace — not to mention songs falling over each other with wryness. Kumikameli puts out great albums year in, year out (their latest release is Kinahmo from the year 2004) but, quite unfairly, still remains officially The Best Kept Secret in Finnish rock'n'roll.
